Pride in afterlife/Stolthed på den anden side, oil on canvas 50x70
Just 4-5 photos backwards from here is a painting I called 'Lucius'.
After having walked around it for a while I finally tried to add the colored background - although it's only one more color - I'd just had such an itch to make that red-striped canopy and apples, and then to gain the balance someone suggested the red repeated in the lower right corner.
Now, the idea was from the beginning, that Lucius (Malfoy from the Harry Potter story) had died (hence why the front figures was transparent) and still maintained his proud attitude, but now that the background and foreground had been even more defined, I changed the name too, so it could be anyone with an attitude having crossed the river (like Styx).

Kun 4-5 fotos bagude herfra er der et maleri, jeg kaldte 'Lucius'.
Efter at have gået rundt om det et stykke tid prøvede jeg endelig at tilføje den farvede baggrund - selvom det kun er een farve mere - jeg havde bare haft sådan en lyst til at lave en rødstribet balkakin og nogle æbler, og så for at genvinde balancen foreslog en, at den røde blev repeteret i det nederste højre hjørne.
Fra begyndelsen var ideen, at Lucius (Malfoy fra Harry Potter historien) var død, (hvilket viste sig i den transperante figur,) men beholdt sin overlegne attitude, men nu da forgrund og baggrund var bedre defineret, ændrede jeg også navnet, så det kunne være hvemsomhelst, der havde krydset floden (som Styx).
